Toys for Tots Donation Center at Green Convergence Solar Design Center
"Toys for Tots” is a charity run by United States Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys to needy children during the holiday season. “Toys for Tots” was founded by reservist Major Bill Hendricks and has been collecting and distributing toys to children since 1947. In 1995 The Secretary of Defense made Toys for Tots an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve. As of 2009 the United States Marine Corps Reserve has collected and distributed more than five hundred million toys.
Green Convergence is proud to be an official donation center for “Toys for Tots”. To show our appreciation to the donors we will be giving a $10 Peet’s Coffee and Tea Gift Card to anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy valued at ten dollars or more to our solar design center between November 18th through December 16th.
