What type of roofs do you install on?
Short answer: we install on every type of roof! We do commercial buildings, carports, Spanish tile, composition shingle, flat concrete tile, metal stone coated steel, ground mounts and many more!
What is NET Metering 1.0 and why is it important?
Net Metering 1.0 is a favorable agreement between Solar power users and the Utility companies where the Utility companies have to pay to retain value for any electricity that you provide to the grid. This helps you because during times when Solar is not producing energy, like at night, you can buy power at reduced rates with the credits that you have accumulated from day-time production. This allows you to have a system that is smaller and does not produce as much as you consume. Net Metering 1.0 is set to expire after a certain threshold is reached and while experts are divided over the timing, it could be as soon as the end of 2016.
Is there a reason I should go solar this year?
The expiration of the R-rate and Net Metering 1.0 may happen this year and will affect the economics of your project. With the expirations on the horizon many people are moving forward with solar projects so good companies have large pipelines of projects coupled with the shortage in construction workers increasing the cost of labor. If you plan to get a project in before the end of the year, start planning now!
